nine hundred (900) per day - to destitute Refugees and Freedmen of three (3) Counties (I think three Counties) I do not know how to obtain the Rations, or by what standard to determine who Rations should be issued to,

The Person I named in your presence - (Mrs J. C Peely) is competent and willing to take the positon of clerk in the Office.

I cannot find how the incidental expenses of Offices of the Bureau are paid - Such as Stationery, Stamps, Room rent, Clerks pay &c, and I would like such information to guard against necessary outlays - for which I might not be reimbursed.

I am informed a weekly letter of important facts relative to Affairs of the Bureau. is required of Agents, at the office at Montgomery - But am not informed if other reports are required-

I have taken a few prs of Trousers and several coats from Capt. Cogswell, Others can be drawn at Montgomery I presume, if required.

I have not transacted any business worthy of mention in my official capacity.
