That Thomas Boutwell & James Boutwell, if they were present they would swear that they reside near Nelson & Almeda Dismuke freedmen, that Nelson the Husband of Almeda the mother of the children apprenticed to Mrs. Amanda Cilley is able to support their children [[will well] [[/strikethrough]], that he is now engaged in a liberal  profitable business, that he is making a competency to subsist upon, and to support their children well, that subpoenas have been issued for them, and that they are absent without the consent of the plaintiffs, the witnesses & plaintiffs not being present, the court forced the plaintiff's atty. to go  to trial, by the Defendants admitting that if the Boutwells were present they would swear to the above state of facts.
