Rations; I had expected to be instructed by you on that point; the Boxes of new and old clothing have arrived and I will distribute them properly. Please inform me what I shall do with those old Bunks, tables &c. used by the troops, but belonging to the Bureau, by some mistake the former Post Q.M. had taken them up on his returns and I was therefore compelled to receipt for them, the whole trash however is not worth the paper and writing it requires; -

I was in expectation to see you here this week, not that your presence is particularly required, but the pleasure of seeing you and to have a few hours pleasant conversation.
