Office of Supt. Dist. of Selma,
Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands,
Selma, Ala April 30th 1866.

O. D. Kinsman
Brevet Major & A.A.G.

Major:
I have the honor to enclose a "Report of the Freedmens Court" from its establishment March 15th to the date of my discharge April 26th.
The Court was in practical operation from March 28th to April 26th.
The judgements assessed have all been collected with the exceptions of the cases of Mr Matheson and William McKeever, the first of which is properly secured and the last of which will require more authority than I have had to secure it.
The Plaintiffs were in all the cases Freedmen.
Several cases of Assault and Battery were pending when my discharge was received
