Tallapoosa County}
I Allen P. Sturdivant Judge of the Probate Court for the County and State aforesaid, hereby certify I have appointed William Paige of this County in the town of Dadeville agreed to receive and forward supplies furnished through the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, of Montgomery Ala. for the destitute poor of this County, and is hereby invested with full poor to receipt for the same, and do all other acts necessary and incident to, to effect the purposes aforesaid. 
In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and affixed the seal of the said County of office, at Dadeville the 19 day of May A.D. 1866

The aggregate number reported under the order of the provisional Governor in 1837 souls; the number contained in Beats 2, 3 & 15 represented by Mr. John C. Mestbrook who has drawn 3000 rations, contains 366 souls; I have appointed herein agent to represent and receive notices for Beats 1, 2, 3, & 15 on the western side of of rivers
