It may be possible you have not forgotten me. I staid a week at Judge Bibbs last winter while you were there.

My letter is headed Troy although I do not live there, but six miles from that place in Beat No 3. Troy is my P. Office.

There is a negro man and his wife living near me. That I once owned I raised them since children, the man was to me a faithful servant. I always liked him, he left me he said because he would not "feel free" if he did not. he is a good hand he is not blessed with much
