I have the honor to report. The citizens of this place have agreed to erect a building as a Hospital: I have had a consultation with Genl Chetlain who approves the proceedings: the Bureau is to furnish the Hospital with rations medical supplies and attendance also the furniture: and upon the withdrawal of the troops, the citizens are to retain the building as town property. Capt Buckley paid me a visit and made the proposition to the Mayor and Aldermen. Genl Cheltain will furnish the teams to haul lumber and part of the number of Carpenters to erect said building, it is to be sufficiently large to have four wards
