Marietta Ga. October 13, 1866.

Sir,
I have the honor to enclose you the papers in regard to the case of Jackson Easley.
I had an interview with his parson the Rev. Mr. Strickland who informed me that the statement was correct. Jackson is a hardworking industrious man, and capable of taking care of his family.
He wants transportation to De Kalb County, Alabama, for one, from here; and transportation for five from there to Marietta.
I have the honor to be respectfully,
Your Obt St,
Lieut. Wm Mitchell,
A.S.A. Com'r B.R.F. & A. L.

Bv. Major W. W. Deane,
A. A. General,
