I have the honor to report that Lieutenants Logan and Jennings have reported to this office in compliance with orders from office of Act Commissioners. Lt Logan has been assigned to duty as Acting A.Q.M. and Lt. Jennings to duty in this office to attend to claims as pr circular letter of April 5th from your office. Bvt Major Theune has been relieved from duty here and is now enroute to Talladega, I have employed John Yan (colored) as a messenger in this office at Sixteen dollars pr month and one daily Ration, I shall be compelled to employ more men as I can not get any soldiers,
So far as I can learn everything is going on smoothly in this District except in Baldwin Co. where there seems to be some stealing going on,
