In the Matter of the Apprenticing of the children of "Moses" Cade - Probate Court Pike County Alabama.

Hugh R Segors states he knows WJ McBryde and also Moses Cade and has seen the two children of said Moses that are apprenticed to said McBryde, he believes the said McBryde a proper and suitable person to take the care & charge of said children further he does not believe that said Moses is capable of maintaing and supporting his said children; the said Moses Cade has no visible means of supporting said children. He has heard that he is getting from his employer Ogletree $125,00 for this year as wages and he thinks he knows Mosses' habits and character for ecomony well enough to state that his children would recieve little or no benefit from said income, besides he thinks it would take at least the full amount of said wages to vitual said children leaving [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] clothing, physician bills and all other necessary attention unprovided for, were the said Moses Cade to appropriate [[strikethrough]] to appropriate [[/strikethrough]] his wages as aforesaid solely to the support of his said Children
