Justice [[Stan?]] I sent for him, and he then stated for the first time, that as the order appointing him agent was subsequent to his contract with Col Robinson it annuled [[annulled]] said contract and that he was getting out the bricks as our agent of the Bureau, and the Bureau was to give him half of the procedes [[proceeds]] from the sale of the brick for his trouble, and refused to pay for what bricks he had taken. 
I know that Col Washburn did not so understand the order, and indeed, Mr Fraser has stated to me several times, and also toLt. Logan A.A.Q.M. that he was to pay the Bureau five dollars (5.00) a thousand for the bricks and to pay all expenses of getting them out himself.
