indictment. Of course it is impossible to take any action until the necessary papers are obtained. I ought to have the original bill of indictment and a certified copy of the order directing a transfer of the plan of trial. When I receive these together with a copy of the official papers -shown me when you were here - and a letter from yourself - I will be prepared to act. We (the judge and myself) leave for New York today. Our addup while there will be at "No. 137 Broadway." If you will cause the requisite papers to be forwarded to that addup I will undertake to say that action upon them will be prompt and satisfactory
