Transcription Notes:
I think the words "Estado do Amazonas" refer to the State of Amazonas of Brazil, since the Instituto Agronomico do Norte is in Brazil and botanist G.A. Black worked there. Rio Negro flows thru Venezuela, Colombia and Estado do Amazonas, Brazil, so it is not definitive. In May 1948, Black collected another specimen that was labelled "Amazonas, Rio Negro, S. Gabriel, capoeira." This may refer to São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Brazil on the Rio Negro in NW Amazonas. https://plants.jstor.org/stable/10.5555/al.ap.specimen.ian033635?
