I will give you the desired information in one of the cases. the other case was related to me by W.L. Whitlock Esqr of Centre Ala to whom I sent a copy of your letter with the request that he would give you the particulars as to the names ages and parentage &c of the freed children about whose case he knows all the particulars and I doubt not that he will write you fully. The case I give you is as follows. The freed boy's name is Clabourne Littlefield (when a slave he belonged to Mrs. Mary Littlefield) he is about fourteen years of age, his father's name is Loyd Sturkie (when a slave he belonged to David Sturkie) Mrs. Littlefield is the daughter of said Sturkie. Clabourne was given to Mary as a part of her father's estate, hence the difference in the names of father and son. Clabourne Littlefield was bound or apprenticed to E. H. Johnson in the year 1866 by Samuel J. Standefer Judge of Probate of Cherokee County Ala. Judge Stundefer lifes at Centre Ala Johnson lives near
