The State of Alabama } Probate Office
Sumter County } December 7, 1867

Upon the written application of John H. Gary, and it being made to appear to the undersigned Judge of Probate of said County that the Office of Coroner of said County, is vacant, and that [[strikethrough]] that it is necessary that a special Coroner should be appointed to execute [unknown]to which the Sheriff of said County is a [unknown], It is therefore ordered by me as Judge of Probate aforesaid that James W. Monett be appointed Special Coroner under the provisions of Section 807 of the Code of Alabama to levy an attachment in favor of Gary & Multon v. Cecil Berill & Lane, and an Attachment in favor of John C. Phares v. said Cecil Berril & Lane.
