States that the U.S. Bank [[strikethrough]] Surveyor [[/strikethrough]] Purveyor left with 18000 bushels of Corn to be delivered to you, is a U.S. Steamer no charge for transportation, Maj L. F. McCoy of Opolika states that the number of destitute in the Counties of Tallapoosa, Chambers & Lee is about 5,500, Has had no receipt of receival of corn ordered from Cincinatti to Cohoba to the care of John Powers The corn sent by Purvey, from the Southern Farmers Relief Comr of this city
