On the eavning of the 29th ult our house of business was assaulted with stones, thrown by some party or parties to us unknown.
We know of no reason why this should have being done unless it was because the American flag was escorted from our house to the Lodge of the U.L.A by the members of the Lodge. We have been known and shunned as Union Men and there has been on our two attempts before this to inflict personal damage up on us. 
We have made no attempt to resent this heretofore, believing that such action would eventually cease, but the truth is a man known to belong to the U.L. is both publicly and privately opposed and beyond legal extenth. 
We have heretofore refrained from noticing these things not wishing to provoke controversy but as man
