I have not yet seen any real necessity for an extension of time. I believe the work can all be completed within limits already fixed. 

I leave immediately for Fayette, Walker and Winston. I expect to see the Boards of those countries as soon as possible.

Shall write as often as mail facilities will allow. 

Col. Grimes of this place wishes to be kindly remembered to you.

The crops of this region are very fine and affairs are very quiet.
