can be obtained, I think it best to continue my office where it now is— in Mr. C's building— for the present, and pay him the price he asks, from the date of its release by the Marshal, or from the date of the Presidents order, as yo may think best.
If this arrangement meets with your approval, I shall, upon hearing from you insert the item in my monthly estimates and accounts current.

By present indications, the clerical force now employed in my office will not all be required longer than this month. I shall be careful to keep the expense of the Bureau in my district as low as possible.
The supplies of Corn and Bacon for Cherokee County, have been shipped; but upon receiving them form Judge Scruggs, the bacon was found to be 492 pounds short. The amount shipped to Jackson County, also, lacked 100 lbs of bacon and 20 sacks of Corn, of equalling the amount set apart for that County. Other discrepancies,
