Troy Ala; March 11.1867.
Dear Sir,
I wrote to Lieut Conyngham A.A.G. today enclosing Judge Green's report of proceedings in the case of Simon Culver. Simon was to have come to see me last Wednesday at Clayton; as he did not do so I presume the present arrangement is satisfactory to him.
If it is desired that I shall see Simon again or seek to have the apprenticeship set aside, that he may take the children, please write to me at this place & I will attend to it when I reach Henry County on the Circuit
Very Respectfully et cetera
