Whereas on the 20th Nov 1865, C.P. Clayton and James Hawkins entered into an arbitration, submitting all matters of controversy between them in reference to a Land Trade made by said parties in March 1864, and all matters growing out of the same, to the arbitrament and award of John N. Franklin J.G. Beeson Thomas Hammock, W.J. Roberts and W.L. Driskill and the said arbitrators having taken an Oath to try said matters of Controversy under said Submission impartially according to the evidence and manifest justice and equity of the case to the best of their judgments, without favor or affection, and after all of the testimony was submitted on both sides, and arguments duly and solemnly had by both parties; we the undersigned arbitrators deliver the following as the award
