In vacation January 14 A.D. 1866

Whereas on the 20th Nov. 1865 the said Plaintiff and Defendant entered into an agreement submitting certain matters in controversey between them to the Arbitrament and award of J.N. Franklin J.G. Beeson Wm J Roberts Thomas Hammack and W.L. Driskill (the latter as an umpire). as Arbitrators and whereas on the 18th day of December AD 1865, said original Arbitrators held a preliminary meeting and selected said Umpire: and appointed a Time (not up than three days, and place for the trial between the parties, to said controversy both parties being present, and having notice of said time and place: And whereas on the [[blank]] day of [[blank]] A.D 1865 said Arbitrators met persuant to adjournment: and organized: having administered to them by Andrew Brock an acting Justice of the Peace within
