Tuscaloosa June 3rd 1867

At a meeting of the vestry of Christ Church 
Parish Tuscaloosa Ala held this day the following resolutions were passed.

Whereas Mrs. Caroline Snow has in her last will bequeathed to Christ Church Parish
the sum of five hundred dollars.
Therefore resolved by the vestry of said church that this sum be appropriated to the building of a chapel on the lot belonging to  Christ Church in the city of Tuscaloosa provided a like sum of five hundred dollars be raised from other sources to complete said chapel; the chapel to be open to all color and under the  control of the vestry of Christ Church.

Resolved that the vestry of Christ Church hereby guarantee the payment of the legacy mentioned in the above resolution

as the atty of the estate of Mrs. Caroline Snow died. I state that I consider the legacy above named perfectly good and will be paid. I think certainly within the present year. June 3rd 1867
