Clayton Ala July 3, 1867. Genl: I have the honor to report that upon a further hearing of the complaints against White, Warren, Floyd & Cody of this (Barbour) County, prefered by Isaac Richey before the Asst. Comsr - on the 1st inst, I bound over White in the sum of One Thousand Dollars to appear at the next Circuit Court to answer further. Floyd & Cody I discharged, there being no evidence against them. Warren, you will remember I bound over at the first hearing. The testimony, I think, makes out a plain case of Assault & Battery. Richey did not appear and therefore nothing could be done so far as his individual complaints were concerned. I have sent him a pressing message to come here at the next Circuit Court. No Bond.
