Sir-
I have this day procured receipted accounts for "stationery," "Rent of Office & Stable," and "Drayage," which please find enclosed. The parties not being present, I cannot obtain "receipted account" for "Rent of Office furniture" - will forward these as soon as obtained.

I very much regret our mistakes in filling up the vouchers. Hope to do better in future.

I am at a loss to know what to do with the Gov't corn consigned to me for this District. I am issuing to the destitute of this County; but, not having Agents, as yet, in the other Counties, I do not feel authorized to ship to them. Indeed, I think it will be very difficult, and exceedingly expensive, to transport it to Dale and Coffee. It will have to be waggonned to Newton, Dale County, at the rate of $1.50 pr cart[[?]]; and to Elba, Coffee
