Eufaula, Ala. Aug. 29 - 1867.

Col. O.D. Kinsman,
Montgomery, Ala.

Dr. Col.-

I have just returned from a visit to my family, and find blank "test oath", which I subscribe and forward immediately.

My general health is somewhat improved, though I am very much fatigued from traveling.

I learn that the cause of reconstruction is rapidly gaining friends in this Section. Trusting in Him who doeth all things right. I still have hope that right principles will triumph, and that the Union will be completely reconstructed, and quiet & prosperity restored.

I am, Col.,
Very respectfully,
Your obt. Servt.
W.E. Connelly.
