The School Commissioners to purchase a Lot on which to build an African School House, have been offered the following Premises which some of the Parties interested, desire to be made known to you - viz:

1 lot of 5 acres, lying & situate on the Norman Bridge Road, just beyond the Corporate Limits, & having on it a large & commodious Building, containing 4 large apartments & a thorough Passage & elevated on brick Columns sufficiently high to allow of a 12 ft Pitch Basement Story, which might be divided into 2 School Rooms capable of comfortably seating 100 Pupils each- This Building is eligibly situated with reference to the objects contemplated; has a number of good Out-Buildings & an excellent well on the lot on which it stands- Has a Grocery at the Cross-Roads, which cd be sold @ a good price, & the Building & Lot might be purchased & fixed up for a sum not exceeding $8000- It is worth your attention to examine it- I believe I am publicly known to be, as I have proved myself all my life, a friend of the
