Mobile, Jany 24th 1867.

Sir:

On examining my official letter book for information on the subject of the transfer of Marine Hospital building to the Freedmans Bureau I find a communication authorizing me to report the result of a conference with you as to your promise to have the patients "full as well cared for as at present (Aug 28' 1866) and without increased expense."
I would therefore recommend dear General that you come on here, where I think we can settle the matter definitely and to your satisfaction as far as I am concerned.
