Mobile, March 25th 1867,

Col. J.L. White, Agent &c
Selma

Dear Sir:
Capt. Arthur, the agent of the Freedmen's Bureau, who bought and shipped the Corn (621 sacks) which was taken up on the last trip of the "Lawrence", was in our Office this morning, and says that the sweating of the corn is clearly not the fault of transportation, and he says he will be in Selma in a few days, and set the matter straight.

Yours truly
(Signed) Davis, Hall, & Co.
