This will inform you that I am a freeman of the County & State above mentioned. I was arrested on the 20th of this Inst for living in a dultry with a white woman and was fined two hundred dollars and has to start to greenvill jail to day. I shal have to by there thirty days to swair out. I was tried by judg
Thagard of Crenshaw. Co. I purposed to Mary hir but the judge woodent suffer me I shal loose my crop if you dont do some thing for me. I was ignornt of the laws of the Country. I had this woman highered & two children on my place. I am ignornt of the laws of the Country. I will try to do write in the future
