Dear Sir:
I take the liberty of addressing you a line in regard to the matter of hiring transportation for my tours in this district. It seems to me that when the circumstances are known, it will be deemed only just and reasonable that I [[strikethrough]] may [[/strikethrough]] should be allowed to avail myself of the facilities provided in the manual. It is almost absolutely necessary to health and comfort in this weather, with its sudden alternations of burning heat and drenching rains, to use a buggy for travelling, especially when the necessity of making public addresses requires that the officer should have the means of appearing decently clad. Anticipating no difficulty in receiving the order asked, but counting on it as a matter of course, I procured a buggy, with the design of using my own horse, and by the hire of the horse pay for the buggy, as well as get some return for the trebly enhanced personal expenses that one must incur upon such tours.
