Col. J. McGee, Chairman of the Court of County Commissioners Mobile County, has informed me that the Commissioners have decided to assume charge of the Dog River Hospital and Colony as it now stands, and on the terms offered by the Assistant Commissioner in his letter of the 16th inst.
I forward copy of my letter dated 16th inst. upon which the action of the Commissioners was based, and will complete this report by forwarding a copy of the order of the Court as soon as it is received.
I submitted a Surgeons list of the medicines and furniture (Hospital Stores) on hand, which, from the Asst. Commissioner's letter, I supposed were to be included in the Transfer.  The property transportation &c. on the papers of the Sub. Asst. Commr. are excluded from the transfer although I have promised to permit them the use of the ambulance for the present.

Col. McGee informs me that Mr. J. C. Smith, the present head of the County Poor House, has been designated
