No statement of postponement of election was made in this county so far as I can learn. Organizations existing among colored voters here would have rendered such statement of no avail in influencing their votes. 

I have been informed that the assertion has been quite often made that the negroes have cast their last vote in Mobile. Whether this is an idle boast, as is possibly the case, resulting from the elated state of the rebel mind occasioned by recent elections in the north, or, whether, as some fear it is the voice of an organization for incendiary purposes is not known.

As facts are made known, information will be forwarded.
