The Commissioners wish it known that it is not in the scope of the rules governing their Poor House Committee to provide for transient patients from the city as has heretofore been done; but all such will be secured admission to the City Hospital. Judging from the treatment of Yellow Fever sick in City Hospital I see no objection to urge against this plan. The Destitute and permanently sick from the city and county and transient sick outside the city limits will be cared for as heretofore.

Negociations are pending looking to exchange of the County Poor House and grounds for the Dog River Property.

The Commissioners request the government to issue rations for one month from date of the transfer which finds them unprepared to subsist the inmates. Rations have already been drawn for ten days through necessity on acct of delay. I would recommend continuance of rations to end of this month.

Very respectfully
Your obdt. servant
