Sir,

The undersigned beg to submit the following statement of facts, and to ask you to afford them such relief (if any) as you may be able to extend them.

During the past spring and summer, we made large advances of Provisions (Bacon & Corn) to Farmers in Alabama who trade to Columbus Ga. taking an obligation from them to place in our hands  Cotton sufficient to pay these debts by the first day of November inst.

Two parties residing in Bullock Co, were proposing to forward the Cotton, but before it was removed from the Plantation the sheriff of the County seized it, by virtue of an execution for debts made and contracted several years since, and we are unable to control it,
