Sir:
I have the honor to report that on yesterday I sent the following note to the Acting Intendent of this town, of which no notice has been taken.  Note [[strikethrough]] I [[/strikethrough]] I respectfully apply for authority to order the remission of the five named in the note.

I beg leave to say that the authorities of the County and town seem [[strikethrough]] ed [[/strikethrough]] determined to use the opportunities of the remainder of their term for the accomplishment of all the mischief and injury in their power. The [[strikethrough]] Sherriff and others [[/strikethrough]] Law and Chancery officers are pressing sales under the most ruinous circumstances, and with all the haste possible. The can be no set of officers in any country, more deserving of
