which conveyance is herewith exhibited and prayed to be taken, as a part of this petition.

6 All of the conveyances mentioned in this Petition were duly recorded in the Probate Office of Sumter County.

7 Before the 6th day of Dec. 1867, a portion of the crops mentioned in said conveyance to Gary and Melton, as well as a portion of the property conveyed to said John H. Gary in the other deeds, had been removed from said premises, in fraud of the parties intended to be secured by said conveyances, wherefore, on the 6th day of Oct 1867, the said parties prayed Attachments at the suit of themselves against the said Cecil, Bevill & Lane, for the sums respectively due them; and, respectively, made the affidavits and gave the Bonds required by Law, in such cases. 

8 The said Thos S. Bevill, one of the firm of Cecil, Bevill & Lane, as aforesaid, was, at the time of owing out said attachments, as he is now, the sheriff of said Sumter County; and hence it became necessary, in the absence of a coroner, that a special coroner be appointed, to execute the proper legal processes under said attachments.
