the First Part shall permit them to live on said Plantation, and agrees to furnish them necessary food, the cost of which is to deducted from the share of the nett proceeds of the crop of that one of the Parties of the Second Part who brings them to live on said Plantation.  In witness whereof we have hereunto signed our names (or made our marks) and affixed our seals, this 14th day of January A.D. 1866.
