practicable in regard to the matter. You will therefore please come at once. Ben Williams need be in no fear of being arrested under any warrant issued at the instance of Mr. Chambers or Alr. Moore. I have seen Mr. Chambers to day and have the warrants in my possession; having retained the one against Ben Williams as well others, to get all the information, from that source, I can about your matter. So, I repeat, Ben Williams need be in no fear. Nor need you or Mr. Kilgore be in dread from Mr. Chambers or any other party in regard to this affair. When you come here, you will find me at my office in the Court house building. If you cannot come immediately upon receipt of this, get Mr. Kilgore and bring Ben Williams with him. If neither of you can come soon (in a few days) please write to me by a special messenger what day I may expect you here, so I can arrange my business to be here when you come.

Your prompt attention to this is earnest solicitation Do not trust your letter to the mail. It is too uncertain. Send some person especially on the business of bringing the letter.

Respectfully yours,
(Signed) W.B. H. Howard
