Dear Sir 
Will you please give me some instructions in the fowling case.

Ten different Freedmen at different times have complained against one Jas Wright.  I have written three notes to said Wright, asking him to to come (or call) and see me, or write and let me know if the complaints were well founded, as to disprove them.

I will refer to one case or complaint.  One Joseph Webb contracted with said Wright  For himself and family for the sum of two hundred and forty dollars ($240.00) for the year 1866, among the articles of agreement are the fowling viz.
