Before closing, I will say, that is is very important that the names that have been sent up to fill the vacancies in the Board should be appointed as soon as possible.

And the same may be said, in regard to appointment for all other city & county offices. What has been done heretofore has been just enough to stir up the bile, but not sufficient to cure the patient.

The Malignity of the rebels, has been very signally manifested within the past few weeks, and nothing will abate it but depriving them of the power to do harm.

I am calm & composed, under the conviction that all will come right in the end, though I must confess, that there is enough in this community to try even the patience of "Job." Rebellion has got to be whipped out of the people.
