me with all the proof and their objections. Lieut Harris (Federal Office) took it upon himself to bring the children with the Mother, and after a fair investigation it was decided not to revoke the apprenticeship, this the Lieut seemed to be satisfied with at least he delivered the children back into the charge of Farnham, the father & mother have again sent out a Writ of Habeas Corpus & have tried the validity of the apprenticeship, under the law and the facts I have had to decide against them, but from the amxiety they manifest in the matter and their improved circumstances, the Woman having improved in health. I have concluded to refer the Matter to you. Mr Farnham is a man of the very best character and is entirely able to perform his part of the contract
These people have a great honor to being apprenticed. Notwithstanding they make no objection to the treatment of their children and say that they are well trusted yet not one of them would suffer their children for any amt, to stand in the relation an apprentice does to the Master.
If you think under the Circumstances it would be better to revoke the apprenticeship let me know
Very Respectfully
