Dear Sir
I levied an attachment against the property of Mr J. A Shingleur to the amount of Forty five thousand $45000 00) Dollars. The property consisting of mules, oxen, plantation wagons, gear, tools etc together with the portion of the crop gathered.
The parties in the premises are E H Martin Plaintiff in attachment. Sibley Guion &c claimants, and Jos Shingleur Dft in attachment. An agreement between claimants and Plaintiff in attachment. (Shingleur making no defense) authorized me to employ hands to gather the crop and to sell a sufficient amt of cotton to feed and pay the hands employed by me, thus making me special agent in addition to my responsibilities as Sheriff
