The witness supposes that Mr Grant left about two weeks before Levan did but was certain it was one week, and that Levan told the witness that he was going to stay one week and that said Grant left rations for him that length of time though said Levan didn't stay longer than Friday evening and states further Levan never worked a day or a half day when He was absent and the witness further states that Levan done the last work that was done in the crop but the witness was taken aside on Friday the day that Levan quit working in the crop was the reason why he did not work longer. The witness states further that he then hired Dr G. A Tompkins to gather said crop
