This will be handed you by Mr Shingles the gentleman whose plantation was refered to in S.O. 81. and 83. Hd Qrs Dist. Ala, He wishes me to make to you a statement of facts in connection with his place as he thinks is has been misrepresented to you I have visited the place of Mr Shingles last Saturday the 30 ult. and found that there was a large crop of corn and cotton so situated that mule waggons &c was necessary to gather said crop and as the debt for which attachment was issued was not due or but a small portion Due and the case could not be tried until the next Circuit Court. the Stock Waggons &c
