Mr.Shingler executed a bond with the signature of our of the best business firm of Columbus Ga. as security for the safe delivering of stock &c. so held I believe unless some arrangements can be made to retain on the Plantation mules gear &c necessary to gather the crop the laborers can get no pay for this labor for this year 
There is a large crop of corn on which there is no lien but is a long distance from a place where it can be stored none of the crop attached nor any property belonging to Mr Shingler was removed after military or Bureau orders were issued in refference & notwithstanding the sheriff so reported to me to the contrary
