Office Sub Asst. Commissioner
Bureau R F and A.L.
Greenville, Ala. Nov. 29.1867

Colonel O.D. Kinsman
Sub Asst. Commr.

Colonel,

I have the honor to make the following statement Much of this place complains that in the year 1863, the Probate Judge of Lowndes Co. in this State apprenticed his son Ephraim Marsh to Mr William Marsh now living in Dallas Co. without his knowledge or consent. He says he is capable of providing for and educating his son.

Desiring to raise his own child, he respectfully asks the cancellation of the indenture, as provided for by G.O. No. 3. from Hd. Qrs Dist. of Ala. and bearing date April 16, 1867.
