You will with two men proceed without delay to the residence of Dr H. McLain the Southern portion of Lowndes County and deliver to him the letter herewith sent which directs him to deliver to the mother a child named Cornelia now unlawfully held by said McLain.  You will see that Dr. McLain complys with the order promptly.  The mother of the child will accompany you for the purpose of guiding you to McLain's residence and also to identify the child.  As soon as possession of the child is gained you will return through the southern portion of Montgomery County to the mother's residence where you will leave her and her child.

You will then proceed to the residence of Geo. W. Friar who lives at or near Sharpsville in this county where you will deliver the letter addressed to the latter and which directs him to deliver to you a child named Lucy daughter of Wesley Griffin now unlawfully held by said Friar.
