Hospital.

At present all the relief establishments in this District are under the charge of Medical officers.

Table No 1 exhibits the stations at which relief establishments were in operation together with the number of Medical officers, Stewards, Attendants &c. employed at each.

From November 1, 1866 to August 31, 1867 eleven (11) contracts Sergeants have been at different times employed in this District, of whom four (4) have been discharged, and seven (7) are still in service.

Table No 2 and 3, will show the number of Refugees and Freedmen respectively, which have been under treatment from November 1st 1866 to August 31" 1867

From these tables it will be seen that during this period 168 Refugees were under treatment, the number of deaths was 5.  Number remaining under treatment August 31 1867, four (4)

The total number of Freedmen under treatment during the same period 6058.  The number of deaths was 162.  Number remaining August 31st 1867, 533

The percentage of deaths during this period was remarkably low .026.

All the Hospitals in this District are in very good condition and are abundantly supplied with Medical and Hospital Stores of the best quality

The actions of the Medical
