Tuscaloosa Ala. Sep. 2nd. 1867.

Maj. O.D. Kinsman
Montgomery
Alabama

Enclosed you will find monthly report of Sub. Asst. Commr. B.R.F. & A.L. Tuscaloosa, Ala, of August 1867.

The report has been made by the acting agent of Mr. R. Blair, who has been ill during the entire month, and at this time is so ill that I deem it imprudent to show the report to him.

The report was given me to read, and then to give to Mr. Blair, but his physicians forbid anything of a business character being reported to him — therefore he knows nothing of the contents of this report.

Mr. Blair is my "Step Father" and I know nothing of the Sub. Asst. Commr's business except as he directs. Mr. Blair's health is extremely feeble, and in fact critical at present, and this report does not come from him, but his agent.

Pray Sir, excuse a child's anxiety, as that is the only apology I have to offer for trespassing on your valuable time.

Very Respectfully,
M.A. Kelly.
